The meeting was called to order by President Woodford at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Messrs. Clark, Hinkle, Burton, Keith, Downes, and Frear.

Meeting of the Finance Committee was held at 7:30 P.M. in Town Office June 30th, and bids for contract #1 was opened and read, in public by the members of the committee.

The above prices were put before Council for discussion and was decided to award the contract to George & Lynch, Dover, Delaware, and to notify them of same and that contracts would be ready for signature later in week.
Bids for Bonds
Bids for $150,000 worth of Legally issued 4½% bonds of the Town of Dover, Dover, Delaware, dated July 1st, 1927, maturing July 1, 1957, redeemable by the Town at par and accrued interest at any interest period after July 1, 1932, were received, opened, and read before Council by President Woodford.

Delaware Trust Co. of Wilmington Delaware being the high bidder on these bonds the whole issue of $150,000.00 was sold to said Delaware Trust Co. to be delivered on Tuesday July 5th 1927, by special messenger Supt. L. D. Shank. Interest to be paid at rate of 4% from July 1st to date of del’y.
Moose Carnival
Mr. Moore appeared before Council asking for permit for carnival for benefit of Order of Moose from July 18th to 25th 1927. Upon motion of Messrs. Keith & Downes council granted permit reserving right to close same if not fit & clean.
