SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

A Special Council Meeting was held on September 1, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. with Council President Williams presiding. Members present were Mr. Leary, Mrs. Russell, Mr. McGlumphy, Mr. Slavin, Mr. McGiffin, Mr. Salters, and Mr. Ruane. Mr. Hogan was absent. Others present were Mayor Carey, Mr. DePrima, Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs. Hawkins, and Mrs. McDowell.

AGENDA ADDITIONS/DELETIONS

Mr. Leary moved for approval of the agenda, seconded by Mr. McGiffin and unanimously carried.

Mr. Leary moved to recess into executive session to discuss legal matters, seconded by Mr. McGiffin and unanimously carried.

Meeting recessed at 5:01 p.m. and reconvened at 5:23 p.m.

FOP LABOR CONTRACT

During the executive session, Mr. Scott A. Holt, Esquire, of Young, Conaway, Stargatt, and Taylor, LLP, reviewed the tentative agreement reached during meditation. He noted that the agreement has already been ratified by the FOP.

Mr. McGlumphy moved for approval of the City of Dover/FOP Tentative Agreement (Exhibit #1), seconded by Mr. Leary and carried by a unanimous roll call vote (Mr. Hogan absent).

Mr. Leary moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. McGlumphy and unanimously carried.
