COUNCIL WORKSHOP

A Council Workshop was held on March 10, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. with Council President Hogan presiding. Council members present were Mr. McGlumphy, Mr. Slavin, Mr. Salters, Mr. Ruane, Mr. McGlumphy, Mr. Slavin, Mr. Salters, and Mr. Ruane. Mrs. Russell, Mr. Leary, and Mr. McGiffin were absent

AGENDA ADDITIONS/DELETIONS

Mr. Slavin moved for approval of the agenda, seconded by Mr. McGlumphy and unanimously carried.

COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT (CAFR) - FINAL DRAFT

Members were provided with a Final Draft of the Comprehensive Annual Report for the Fiscal Year ended June 30, 2008 and the Internal Controls Report and Management letter from Faw, Casson & Co., LLP.

Mrs.Mitchell, Controller/Treasurer, provided a PowerPoint Presentation (Exhibit #1) which highlighted and summarized the CAFR and explained the basic financial statements and various accounting methods.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - CITY OF DOVER PROGRESS AND STRATEGY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICE

Mr. Bill Neaton, Economic Development Director, provided a PowerPoint Presentation (Exhibit #2) which highlighted the activities of the Economic Development Office and the Downtown Dover Partnership.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - KENT ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP

Mr. Dan Wolfensburger of the Kent Economic Partnership, Inc., provided a PowerPoint Presentation which highlighted their organizational information, vision, mission, funding, expenses and successful and upcoming projects (Exhibit #3).

Mr. McGlumphy moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Ruane and unanimously carried.
