SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

A Special Council Meeting was held on February 11, 2008 at 4:09 p.m. with Councilman Ruane presiding during the absence of Council President Williams (arrived at 4:12 p.m.). Members present were Mr. Leary, Mrs. Russell, Mr. McGlumphy, Mr. Slavin, Mr. McGiffin, and Mr. Hogan. Mr. Salters was absent. Others present were Mayor Carey, Mr. DePrima, City Solicitor Rodriguez, Mr. Lunt, and Mrs. McDowell.

AGENDA ADDITIONS/DELETIONS

Mr. McGlumphy moved for approval of the agenda, seconded by Mr. Hogan and unanimously carried.

Mr. Leary moved to recess into executive session to discuss legal matters, seconded by Mr. McGlumphy and unanimously carried.

Meeting recessed at 4:10 p.m. and reconvened at 4:24 p.m.

CAROLINA TRANSFORMER SUPERFUND SITE

During the executive session, members discussed a settlement offer involving the Carolina Transformer Superfund Site.

Mr. Hogan moved that the City take part and join the group involving the Carolina Transformer Superfund Site Settlement in the amount of $90,000, seconded by Mrs. Russell and unanimously carried.

Mr. Leary moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. McGiffin and unanimously carried.
