SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

A Special Meeting of City Council was held on September 1, 1994 at 5:00 p.m. with Council President Christiansen presiding. Members of Council present were Mr. Lambert, Mr. Tudor, Mr. Leary, Mrs. Malone, Mr. Weyandt and Mr. Salters. Mr. Hare and Mr. Pitts were absent.

Council President Christiansen announced that the purpose of the meeting was to hold an executive session to discuss personnel matters. Upon adjournment of the executive session, the public meeting will be opened. The public meeting opened at 5:50 p.m.

Due to a vacancy created by the absence of Second Assistant Chief David Lewis and a vacancy created by a leave of absence taken by Fire Chief Osika, the Robbins Hose Company requested that City Council authorize a special election for replacement of the two positions.

Mr. Salters moved that, due to absences in the leadership of the Robbins Hose Company, Council authorize a special election to fill positions deemed appropriate by the Robbins Hose Company. The motion was seconded by Mr. Leary and unanimously carried (Mr. Pitts and Mr. Hare absent), with Mr. Christiansen abstaining.

Mr. Leary moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Lambert and unanimously carried.

Meeting Adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
