SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

A Special Meeting of Council was held on June 5, 1985 at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Carroll presiding. Members present were Messrs. Richter, Ambruso, Boaman, Bulley, Christiansen, Witt, Weyandt and Shevock.

AGENDA ADDITIONS/DELETIONS

Mayor Carroll requested an additional agenda item to discuss an appointment to the Board of Adjustments which was approved in a previous Council Meeting.

Council unanimously approved the agenda as amended.

RATIFICATION OF PROPOSED THREE YEAR POLICE PERSONNEL CONTRACT

A new three year contract with Police personnel was submitted to Council as negotiated by the City Manager's Office through bargaining with designated police personnel; said contract being on file in the Office of the City Manager.

Mr. Weyandt moved for acceptance of the contract agreement with the City Police Department, said contract being on file in the Office of the, City Manager. The motion was seconded by Mr. Christiansen and carried by a unanimous roll call vote.

Mayor Carroll praised the results of the new police contract and thanked members of the City staff and the police negotiating team for the time and effort spent in finalizing the new three year contract with the City of Dover Police Department.

APPOINTMENT OF WILLIAM DIMONDI - MEMBER OF BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS

Mayor Carroll informed Council that Mr. William DiMondi, who was appointed to the Board of Adjustments during the Council Meeting of May 28, 1985, does not live within the corporate limits of the City of Dover. In accordance with State Code, Mr. DiMondi cannot be a member of the Board of Adjustments. He requested that a motion be presented withdrawing Mr. DiMondi's name as a member of the Board of Adjustments.

Mr. Shevock moved that Mr. William DiMondi be removed as a member of the Board of Adjustments in conformance with the Code of the State of Delaware. The motion was seconded by Mr. Weyandt and carried by a unanimous roll call vote.

Mayor Carroll stated that he would have a replacement name to submit to Council at the next Regular Council Meeting.
