SPECIAL MEETING

April 7, 1982

A Special Meeting of Council was held on April 7, 1982 at 6:00 p.m. with Mayor McDonough presiding. Councilmen present were Messrs. Bewick, Tudor, Boaman, Carey, Witt, Carroll and Richter. Mr. Hardcastle was absent.

Recess - Executive Session

By motion of Mr. Witt, seconded by Mr. Carey, Council recess into executive session to discuss legal matters.

Reappointment of William A. Hayes as Tax Assessor

Council reconvened the Regular Meeting for the purpose of appointing an interim Tax Assessor to replace Acting Assessor Glenn McDowell. Mr. McDowell is not a freeholder of the City of Dover; therefore, does not qualify for the position of Assessor in accordance with the Charter.

By motion of Mr. Carey, seconded by Mr. Boaman, Mr. William A. Hayes was appointed Tax Assessor of the City of Dover on an interim basis, effective immediately.

By motion of Mr. Richter, seconded by Mr. Boaman, Council adjourned at 6:30 P.M.
