REGULAR MEETING

The regular meeting of City Council was held on Monday, July 8, 1968 at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Carroll presiding. Councilmen present were Messrs Harris, Hastings, Hayes, Holpp, Hughes and Smith. Councilmen Biggs and Jackson were absent.

The invocation was said by the Reverend Samuel Snyder of the Peninsula Conference of Churches.

AGENDA

On motion of Mr. Hayes, seconded by Mr. Smith, Council tabled any action on this evenings agenda, in Memory of the late Alfred S. Biggs, Jr., son of Councilman Alfred S. Biggs, Sr.

BIGGS RESOLUTION

On motion of Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Smith, Council adopted the following resolution in Honor of the late Alfred S. Biggs, Jr.

A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING REGRET OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOVER AT THE DEATH OF ALFRED S. BIGGS, JR.

WHEREAS, the early death of Alfred S. Biggs, Jr. has brought deep sorrow to his family and to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred S. Biggs, Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Alfred S. Biggs, Sr. is an esteemed member of the Council of the City of Dover, Delaware; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the City of Dover, Delaware desire to express their grief at his time of affliction

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DOVER:

The Mayor and Council of the City of Dover have experienced deep regret upon the death of Alfred S. Biggs, Jr. and extend their sincere sympathy to his family.

The Mayor and Council of the City of Dover express their great affection for Alfred S. Biggs, Sr.

The Clerk of the Council is directed to make this Resolution a part of the permanent records of The City of Dover.

Adopted July 8, 1968

Council adjourned at 7:35 P.M.
