SPECIAL MEETING

February 19, 1953

The special meeting of City Council was held Thursday, February 19, 1953, at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Haman presiding. Councilmen present were Messrs Biddle, Davis, Helm, Holpp, Mundy, Petty, and Tischer.

PURCHASED POWER CONTRACT

Council directed the City Manager to contact the Federal Power Commission and the American Public Power Association for their advise as their advise as to whether it might be advantageous to Dover to notify Delaware Power & Light Company that the City wished to terminate its present contract to purchase power on its termination date, October 31, 1953, and to renegotiate a contract for such power as may be required beyond that date.

PURCHASE OF GENERATOR

Council authorized the purchase of a 10,000 KW steam generator. The City Manager was directed to get firm proposals for purchase of the same.

Council adjourned at 11:00 P.M.
