SPECIAL MEETING
August 26, 1952
The special meeting of City Council was held Tuesday, August 26, 1952, at 8:00 P.M. with Mayor Haman presiding. Councilmen present were Messrs Davis, Helm, Holpp, Petty, and Smith.
MOSQUITO CONTROL
Council discussed the prevalence of mosquitoes within the City of Dover and adopted a resolution calling the attention of the Governor of Delaware to the fact that the marshes in Kent County had not been sprayed this year, resulting in an increase in the local mosquito nuisance, and stating that the citizens of Dover urgently request that the spraying of Kent County marshes be reinstituted.
CLARA STREET TO LATEX
On the motion to vacate Clara Street from Pear Street to the railroad and deed the right of way of International Latex Corporation in exchange for a strip of land on Brown Street, the vote was 2 yes, 2 no and 1 not voting. The matter was deferred until the next meeting of City Council.
