SPECIAL MEETING
July 22, 1949
A special meeting of City Council was held at 12 noon, July 22, 1949 with Mayor Storey presiding. Members present were Messrs Culver, Petty, Smith and Wilson.
WAR MEMORIAL
Council approved the project of the Dover Post, Delaware Veterans of World War II to establish a memorial to deceased of World War II to establish a memorial to deceased of World War II in the triangle at State and King Streets. All costs of the memorial will be met by the Delaware Veterans. The City of Dover will supply only labor by its regular employees. The City Solicitor was directed to prepare the necessary ordinance eliminating the parking area and establishing the memorial plot.
POWER TO INTERNATIONAL LATEX CORPORATION
The City Manager was authorized to supply International Latex with power for experimental period to determine the cost and practicability of supplying that Corporation with off peak power.
OFFICE FOR CITY ALDERMAN
Council approved leasing an office to the City Alderman in the Police Headquarters building on King Street at a price of $20.00 per month.
Council adjourned at 1:00 P.M.
