SPECIAL MEETING

                                                                                                                        March 31, 1947

A special meeting of City Council was held in City Hall on Monday evening, March 31, at 7:30 P.M., with Mayor Woodford presiding. The following members were present: Messrs. Keith, Vane, Hartnett, Mikell, Wright and Carson.

Addressograph

The City Manager recommended the purchase of a new addressograph to replace the one in City hall which is about fifteen years old and needs service constantly. Without objection, the City Manager was authorized to purchase a new addressograph.

Power Situation

Representatives of the Delaware Power and Light, Mr. Pyle and Mr. Plank, met with City Council to study the Dover power situation. After a lengthy discussion, the matter of entering into a contract with the Delaware Power and Light was held in abeyance until the next meeting.

Turbine Repairs

Upon motion of Mr. Carson, seconded by Mr. Keith, the City Manager was instructed to have the 2500 K.W. Turbine overhauled before June 30, at which time our contract with Delaware, Power and Light expires.

Council adjourned at 9:55 P.M.
