SPECIAL MEETING
January 31, 1945
A Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Dover was held on the 31st day of January, 1945. The Meeting was called to order by Vice Mayor LeFevre, and on roll call the following members answered “Present”: Messrs. Keith, Vane, Burton, Hinkle and Hartnett.
PURPOSE OF MEETING
Vice Mayor LeFevre informed Council that this meeting was called by the City manager in order to determine whether or not he should employ the H. B. Frazier & Co. Electrical Contractors of Philadelphia to install a load center at the City Power Plant.
After some discussion, upon motion of Messrs. Hartnett and Burton, the City Manager was authorized to employ the H. B. Frazier & Co. to install the load center, as described by him, at the Power Plant.
BILL FOR LEGISLATURE
Upon motion of Messrs. Burton and Vane, the City Manager was instructed to have the City Solicitor prepare a bill and have it introduced to the State Legislature giving the City of Dover authority to work City Prisoners on the Streets of Dover.
