REGULAR MEETING

                                                                                                                        December 14, 1942

            The Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Dover was held on the 14^th day of December, 1942. The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. with Vice-Mayor LeFevre presiding, and on roll call the following members answered “Present”: Messrs. Downes, Keith, Hartnett, Burton, Vane and Hinkle.

MINUTES

            Upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Downes, the reading of the Minutes of the last Regular Meeting was dispensed with.

CITY MANAGER’S REPORT

            The City Manager’s report for the month of November was read by the Clerk and accepted upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Downes.

            Upon motion of Messrs. Downes and Hinkle, the Council authorized the City Manager to increase the salaries of the City employees the amount to equal the 5% Victory Tax.

FINANCIAL REPORT

            The financial report for the month of November was read by the Clerk and accepted upon motion of Messrs. Downes and Burton.

ALDERMAN’S REPORT

            The Alderman’s report for the month of November was read by the Clerk and accepted upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Hartnett. A check amounting to $64.00 was turned over to the City Manager with the report ofeighteen arrests.

POLICE REPORT

            The report of the Chief of Police was read by the Clerk and approved upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Hinkle.

TAX ASSESSOR

            Upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Hinkle, the Council appointed Thomas E. Baker as the City Tax Assessor for the year 1943.

ADJOURNMENT

            Council adjourned at 8:15 P. M.
