SPECIAL MEETING
August 24th, 1942
A Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Dover was held on the 24th day of August, 1942. The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. with Mayor Woodford presiding and on roll call the following members answered present: Messrs. Keith, LeFevre, Downes, Burton and Vane.
PURPOSE OF MEETING
The purpose of this Special Meeting was to discuss electric contracts with the u. S. Government for the Dover Airport. Upon motion of Messrs. LeFevre and Downes, the City Manager was authorized to execute the necessary contracts with the U. S. Government to govern the use of electric current for the Airport.
PAYMENT OF NOTE
Upon motion of Messrs. Keith and LeFevre, the City Clerk was instructed to draw a check in payment for the note of the Robbins Hose Company given for the purchase of the aerial ladder truck. The note amounted to $5,000 with interest of $55.90.
