SPECIAL MEETING
October 10th, 1941
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Dover was held on the 10th day of October, 1941. The meeting was called to order at 2 P. M. with Mayor Woodford presiding, and on roll call the following members answered present: Messrs. Downes, Keith, Hartnett, Vane, Hinkle and Millman.
PURPOSE OF MEETING
Mayor Woodford explained that the purpose of the meeting was to decide whether or not the City should purchase additional land for the new Municipal Airport, stating that the U. S. Army Engineers recommended this additional land for the purpose of installing other taxi strips. Upon motion of Messrs. Downes and Keith, Council voted to purchase the Creadick farm at a price of $6,000.00 for airport purposes.
CANCELLATION OF LIGHT BILL
Upon motion of Messrs. Downes and Keith, Council voted to cancel an old light account belonging to C. F. Tall of Little Creek, in the amount of $20.03, and to hook up the service with the understanding that the current light bill be paid in full before the 10th day of each month. Otherwise, the service will be discontinued without notice.
