PURPOSE OF MEETING
The purpose of this meeting was to put a price on the lot east of the City Hall for the construction of a hotel building. Upon motion of Messrs. Keith and Hinkle, Council instructed the City Clerk to advise Mr. Reese of Salisbury, maryland, that the price on the lot referred to would be $15,000 and that they would require a hotel consisting of 100 rooms, all plans and specifications to be submitted to the City Council for their approval. They would give an option on this lot for the above price for a period of 90 days from June 1st, 1939. If for any reason this lot failed to be used as a hotel site, the title would revert back to the City of Dover and a portion of their money would be returned to them.
