August 2025 - As energy costs continue to rise nationwide, cities like ours are working hard to find
meaningful ways to reduce the financial impact on residents. Councilman Gerald Rocha, Chair of the
City’s Utility Committee, shares how the city is actively responding to this challenge through both
innovation and partnership. One key initiative is our collaboration with the Efficiency Smart Program,
which helps residents and businesses lower their energy usage through expert guidance, rebates,
and energy-saving tools. By making smarter energy choices more accessible, the program empowers
our community to take control of their energy bills.
